Time for Change
Time for Change aims to expand the concept of volunteering. We host an auction where participants bid their time, not their money. We then work with the winners of the auction to find placements in the local community of Toronto, Waterloo and Kitchener. We focus on matching the winners of the auction with non-profits in a project-based capacity. Most of our winners work within the professional and technical skills industry (web development, finances, graphic design, consulting, etc.) and we want to match those skills with non-profits that are developing a particular project that can use those skills.
Some examples of current matches:
Shawn with ALIV(e): Awareness of Low-Income Voices
Mindy with FAST: Families and Schools Together Program
The FAST program is an innovative and collaborative prevention and parent involvement program for school-aged children 5-8 years old. Children and their families gather and participate in specific, fun, research-based activities designed to strengthen bonds within the family, school and community.
